​We started sailing Finns over 10 years ago and found finding parts and information a little difficult. I had thought about starting a Finn business but wasn’t sure where to start. A friend came over from Europe and had a tough time finding a Finn, so he went back to Europe and found suppliers to open Dinghy Racing USA. He realized that he would be moving back to Europe soon and wouldn’t be able to continue doing the business. We, Denise and I, decided to take it over. We operated under DRUSA for a while but needed to change names. We changed to Finn Parts USA and have expanded the parts availability and imported about 25 Finns into North America. We travel to most of the national regattas and a couple of local races to deliver and have parts available. We hope to continue to help build the class and make Finn sailing a competitive fleet.
